Spirit at work

If GC 2019 does not come up with the way forward that these bishops want will they accept that God's Spirit was at work and support whatever comes out?

The College has been Shattered

The College of Bishops has been shattered nationally ever since several have chosen to clearly support WCA. So the fight will continue but the intensity will go up tempo as both sides continue to seek mans solution and not God's solution. I anticipate the current policy without the ability to leave will win the day. There doesn't appears to be a will to be fully inclusive across the Church,,,yet we are paying the price because young people have simply walked away. The Bible says a lot of things that now we find abhorrent and in some cases are illegal. We have adapted as we come to understand God's creation more fully. But this situation has become more a US political fight then a polity fight and that has sullied the discussion to the point that God has left the dialogue. Oh both sides give lip service to God, but I have yet to read or hear any Christ like conversation and this has been among the dialogue with pastors and bishops! I have just become numb to this. Make this end so I can make a decision as to where I and my family will worship.

Notable Quotes

"A preoccupation with the faithfulness of others is too easily used as a means of evading the demands of the Gospel on our own lives."

    – The Rev. Dr. Frederick W. Schmidt, "Jesus Never Said, 'Go Make Others Do Things.'

"Christ told us specifically where He would be found and where we were to worship Him as Christians until He came in glory: Christ is in the people who need our help. Christ is in hungry and thirsty people; in people without adequate clothing and shelter; in people who are strangers in a strange land and people who are imprisoned. Any so-called Christianity that ignores or, God forbid, abuses such people is pernicious heresy from the pit of hell. You spit on the Body of Christ in the Chalice when you abuse Him in the body of your neighbor."

– Mary Pezzulo, "How to Help Imprisoned Migrants," on her blog "Steel Magnificat" on Patheos.com.
