“There are ways we can work together even if we have different positions on homosexuality,” she said. “Our local churches are working with people who have different positions on human sexuality, and they are still feeding people and clothing people and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.”

Baloney.

Anti-LGBT legislation leads to violence and then death of LGBT members. There can be no peace, no 'working together', with individuals who would, frankly, rather see LGBT people dead.

The LGBT community is fighting for its very life. We will not compromise.

I REFUSE to have anything at all to do with a denomination that in any way, shape, or form invalidates or demonizes the LGBT population.

Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove "When Jesus said, 'I have come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly' in John 10:10, he wasn’t thinking about a victory for those who have used religion to fight back against the gains of the civil rights movement. Jesus was inviting all of us to work together for the vision at the heart of that movement — a beloved community where all people created in God’s image can thrive."
