How this comes across

"...but she wondered how would be received within the gay community." This statement makes it sound like all anybody is doing is trying to appease the gay community. How about those of us on the other side of the argument?

OK - But

How many advocates of official heterosexism have been told they can't be married in their church? see the difference? One group is being oppressed and the other group is doing the oppressing. What is to be offered to the oppressors? How about taking the post-Apartheid government's position and having a reconciliation Commission? The oppression is catalogued for all to see, and nothing further is done. How's that sound?
