What did Jesus teach and model?

I have never understood why Christians can believe that God's intentions are for us to kill each other as long as we can clearly justify it by way of Augustine's standard. Can we love God and neighbor and kill people as well? Why not apply this sort of ethic to other sin? In the case of Syria using chemical weapons, is it better that people die from bombs, bullets, shrapnel or lack of food?

more war is not just

We are not the world's policeman. Don't forget, there are lots of groups and people around the world, including right here in the U.S.A., who believe that using drones is immoral!!!!!!!

Seasons are changing. North of the equator, we turn toward fall and winter, while in the southern hemisphere spring and summer approach. Through all the changes of seasons and life, God is with us; we are not alone. United Methodist Insight affirms this hope, and brings news and views intended to help discern the signs of God at work in the world through God's people.
