ATLANTA — In two video interviews with conference leaders, North Georgia Conference Bishop Sue Haupert-Johnson addresses the situation at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church. Leaders of Mt. Bethel announced plans for the congregation to disaffiliate after objecting to the transfer of its pastor to a new appointment. "There are a lot of moving parts to this," she said in a June 11 video. "This was in the course of appointment making just like any other appointment we make."
