Gallup is late to the decline game

Not late at all

Gallup's been reporting this decline for years. The trend hasn't changed... only the hard numbers, which is tho entire point of this article. "The polling giant has been measuring church membership since 1937..." I'm a little doubtful this is the first report they've done after 84 years. Remember, too, that what you're reading isn't the Gallup report, it's a summary provided by Religion News Service. Best to go to the original source before jumping to conclusions about what's in the Gallup report.
