NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Since 2016, the General Council on Finance and Administration (GCFA) Ministry Partner program has provided opportunities for businesses and organizations to connect with United Methodist entities and provide discounts and services at reduced costs. GCFA’s United Methodist Ministry Resource Guide, available online, is a catalogue of all the services available to United Methodists. The program has generated hundreds of thousands of dollars in savings or discounts for local churches and their members, annual conferences, and general Church agencies. The resource guide includes information about each service and contact information for the current ministry partners. It is recently revised and is updated semi-annually.
Potential providers are vetted by an internal GCFA Vetting Committee. GCFA is also grateful to staff of the General Board of Church and Society (GBCS) for their assistance in additionally vetting the providers to assure they are in compliance with the Church’s social principles.
Kellie Schmeal, Relationship Director for GCFA said, “Our External and Connectional Relations teams are excited to do the research and find the opportunities that assist in supporting United Methodist ministries. We are always looking for reputable companies that can help us in this effort to provide discounts or programs to support our ministries.”
