It is clear from the Arkansas Bishop’s statement that some on the COB will use the Pandemic as a weapon to try to prevent consideration of the Protocol by General Conference because they are more concerned with preserving an Institution than they are of solving the problem Methodism faces. A pity they are more concerned for their power and influence within a dying Institution than they are about persons with widely divergent and incongruent views on Scripture who wish and need to find a Wesleyan Denomination in which they can fulfill God’s mission as they understand His will to be.
