Louisiana Annual Conference | January 13, 2025
Join The United Methodist Church on Monday, January 20, from 4-5 pm CT, for From Fear to Belonging, an online prayer vigil to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy.
The event, organized by the General Commission on Religion and Race, General Board of Church and Society, and El Plan for Hispanic/Latino Ministry, will feature music, prayers, and messages from across the denomination, including the Council of Bishops, aiming to inspire action and foster a community where all are valued.
The vigil will also feature a time to confess our collective sins and reframe the narrative from fear to belonging.
"As we convene for this prayer vigil, we are reminded of our mission to foster an intentionally diverse body of Christ," said Bishop Delores J. Williamston. "I invite everyone to join us in this powerful gathering as we lead systemic transformation and advocate for racial equity. Let us unite in prayer and action to build a community that truly cherishes every individual."
Register today to be part of this transformative time of prayer and action - a link to join will be sent to you once you have registered.
