Money is the problem

I appreciate Dr. Scott’s insights. The other problem with the insoluble disparities in wealth is that the “money problem” becomes an excuse for other disparities. For instance, the idea that we simply cannot remove the prejudicial language about sexual orientation because that would “cause “ the poorest countries in the UMC to break away and they need those of us in the wealthy nations. I have not yet heard it pointed out that there is nothing that binds our wealth, or the sharing thereof, to the UMC or its members. We need to be looking for ways to share our abundance that are not simply constrained by our denominational divides.
