Join United Methodists from across the Connection for The UMKR Assembly, May 1-3, 2026 United Methodists for Kairos Response (UMKR), the United Methodist movement for Palestine, will be gathering in the Washington DC area May 1st through 3rd, 2026. The venue is being finalized and will be announced soon, along with Registration information.
Designed for UMC laity and clergy, this gathering will inspire and empower us to build a stronger, more responsive, and more united denominational movement for justice and peace in Palestine/Israel, as we organize in our congregations, our annual conferences, and all UMC communities.
Make plans now to join United Methodist justice-seekers and peacemakers in a weekend filled with dynamic speakers, practical workshops on organizing, warm fellowship and inspiring worship, while building relationships to carry us through the challenges ahead.
Make it a dual-purpose trip: stay through May 7.
- May 1-3 The UMKR Assembly 2026: "Sacred Solidarity"
- May 4 Relax and explore Washington DC for a day.
- May 5-7 The Joint Christian Advocacy Summit, Christians Uniting Against Oppression in Palestine/Israel. Presented by Churches for Middle East Peace and a broad coalition that includes United Methodists for Kairos Response (UMKR), the UMC General Board of Church & Society (GBCS), and the UMC General Board of Global Ministries (GBGM).
