National City Christian Church in Washington, D.C., wil be the site of an April 3 prayer vigil for a lawsuit brought by 27 faith-based groups against the Department of Homeland Security for rescinding its rule against immigration raids at houses of worship and other sensitive sites. On the eve of the first hearing of our historic lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security's rescission of the sensitive locations memo, the General Commission Religion and Race invites United Methodists to an interfaith prayer vigil.
The vigil will take place on at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time Thursday, April at National City Christian Church in Washington, DC.

GCORR’s press release said, “Together, we will gather in solidarity, lifting prayers for justice, compassion, and the protection of immigrant communities. All are welcome to stand with us in this moment of faith and resolve.”
