Sponsor of teams to bring worship to detained immigrant teen-agers, Highland Park UMC in Dallas translates the youths' prayer requests into English and posts them for intercession by its members. These photos show an individual prayer and a display of several of the youths' prayers.
The Rev. Owen Ross told United Methodist Insight that the team has been invited back to hold worship again on Sunday, July 22. Volunteers continue to be prepared to travel to the immigration detention center in Tornillo, Texas, on a week-by-week basis as the non-profit operator's contract is extended by the federal government.
