Witness Wednesdays
United Women in Faith joins Sojourners and other faith-based organizations of the Washington D.C. Interfaith Staff Community to support faithful witness events on the Capitol Hill grounds. We are calling on Congress to exercise greater moral courage in upholding their Article 1 powers and prevent executive overreach.
Faithful Witness Wednesdays take place every Wednesday at noon ET on the Capitol Hill grounds, Washington D.C. and virtually through the end of April. These multi-faith, nonpartisan rituals highlight what’s at stake and the communities already harmed. They feature faith leaders from diverse traditions offering inspirational prayers, reflections, and calls to faithful action. Register here: bit.ly/SOJOFWW
We hope to have a large United Women in Faith presence on Wednesday, April 16, at 12 noon ET where United Women in Faith staff will be present. United Women in Faith General Secretary and CEO Sally Vonner will be speaking! If you are in the area, please join us in person bringing signs and wearing United Women in Faith-related shirts or paraphernalia. If not in person, please join us virtually.
Let us know if and how you will be joining us on April 16 here.
