NEW YORK — Mosaic Momentum has awarded a $100,000 grant to United Women in Faith to support its climate justice work, the women’s organization announced on July 25. Mosaic is a national funder of environmental health and justice movements in the U.S.
“This grant will aid our mission to mobilize women of faith and build a diverse coalition with environmental justice advocates and social justice organizers,” said Sally Vonner, top executive of United Women in Faith. She continued in her statement:
"United Women in Faith is proud to have won this esteemed award. We are one of 30 new grantees, receiving $100,000 towards our shared mission bridging faith-based organizing and cross-sector climate leadership. We have much to do in our work for climate, racial, and economic justice, and this will undoubtedly support our efforts.
“It will take everyone to fight climate change and address environmental damages that impact our earth. This grant will aid our mission to mobilize women of faith and build a diverse coalition with environmental justice advocates and social justice organizers.
