UWFaith Earth Day Celebration
United Women in Faith | April 21, 2025
Join us for an Earth Day celebration and conversation with Professor Grace Ji-Sun Kim, a renowned theologian and advocate for environmental justice. As we commemorate this special day, we'll explore the importance of accountability and action in protecting our sacred Earth.
Professor Kim, drawing from her experiences and expertise, will share insights on the intersection of faith and climate justice. We'll discuss the urgent need for climate and environmental justice, particularly for vulnerable communities disproportionately affected by climate change.
Distinguished theologian, author, and advocate Dr. Kim explores issues of faith, justice, and identity through her extensive writings and teachings. With 24 published books, including "When God Became White, Invisible, and Spirit Life," she is a respected voice in her field. As professor at Earlham School of Religion, host of the Madang podcast, and co-editor of the Palgrave Macmillan Series "Asian Christianity in the Diaspora," Dr. Kim brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to conversations on faith, justice, and sustainability.
