The Sacred Resistance ministry of Foundry United Methodist Church in Washington, D.C. plans its weekly action July 24 to support the health care reform efforts of a United Methodist pastor from North Carolina, Rev. James Brigman.
Weekly Action: Walk with James Brigman for Health Care

Join us on Monday, July 24th to meet with Pastor James Brigman, who has been walking for nearly two weeks to Washington, DC to share his message with Congress. We will accompany him to the Senate to help him advocate for medically fragile children and adults (like his daughter Lauren). For updates on Pastor Brigman's walk, as well as many stories that have been shared about those who would be impacted, please visit the Facebook page that has been created to share this journey.
Our Schedule for Monday:
- 8am: People of faith meet James at the Jefferson Memorial to welcome the family to DC
- 10am: Vigil/prayer service at the United Methodist Building (100 Maryland Ave. NE)
- 10:30/11am: Walk to Senate offices
- Tentative: Rally to share message more broadly
