A minor point, but let's remind ourselves that ancient Israel did not enjoy running water. If Bathsheba's house was anything like typical dwellings of that era, Bathsheba's bath was outside the home, presumably an enclosure behind the house, safe from view from the street. And David was a peeping Tom!
