I Corinthians 5

I am shocked at Mike Tupper's lack of respect for God's Word and his own family. The situation makes me think of the Immoral Church Members in I Corinthians 5. They were proud of their toleration of evil, "inflated with pride, instead of filled with grief." We are not to have fellowship with those claiming to be Christians, but whose lives are dominated by sin ("do not even eat with them"). Jesus would eat with sinners (once), but He called on them to repent and turn back to God. Jesus ate with Zacchaeus, who quickly changed the way he was living. He made restitution to those he had cheated and found New Life in Christ. Zacchaeus considered the cost of following Jesus, accepted it and never looked back.
