It is no surprise

That the advocate of made-up sexist ideology is associated with an extremist right-wing antiabort satrapy. The purpose of such rhetoric is always and always has been the subjugation of women, but so is the sum total of antiabort movement as a whole. Any maudlin emotional appeal is and always has been mrely a vehicle for gender discrimination in a brazen attempt to fool the public.

The Annunciation

Coming out of the Christmas season, the story of the Annunciation came to mind. Mary made a reproductive choice without consulting Joseph, who was upset when he first learned of the pregnancy. It is to be remembered that there were no marriage ceremonies at that time and being betrothed was considered as our modern marriage. Mary was in danger of being stoned to death for adultery had not Joseph been informed otherwise.

In other biblical matters we have Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, and also Huldah, who revealed the will of heaven without male intervention.
