The Supreme Court

I think the conundrum of the Trinity is due in part to the fact that the word God in English is singular. However in Hebrew the word is plural. And the word translated God, Elohim in Genesis 1:1, is translated elsewhere as gods, ie, the elohim of the nations.
That a singular God can be plural, becomes clear for me when I consider the Supreme Court, a singular entity that contains nine people. When we address God, we address three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I think when people talk about God, they are referring to the Father, when they tack on Jesus.
I believe that the concept of one God should be considered one as in unity and agreement.
