U. S. Constitution

The Constitution forbids the government from showing favoritism to any one religion. White Not-Christian Nationalists are working to undermine the separation of church and state. The violation cuts both ways. Religious schools are not public schools. Public schools are not religious schools. Religious schools should not be given monies from public school funds, and public schools should not be required to teach any religion’s doctrines. The separation of religion and state should create an “every tub on its own bottom” existence.
Some Christians cry out that this kind of separation is a crucible for paganism. But that is not true. There is a describable human-family ethic, one that can be taught in the public school system without funneling it through a particular religious tradition. Here are some examples, drawn from an online search,
Respect for Human Dignity:
Treating all individuals with respect and recognizing their inherent value, regardless of their background, beliefs, or abilities.
Empathy and Compassion:
Understanding and sharing the feelings of others, and acting to alleviate suffering.
Freedom of Belief and Expression:
Supporting individuals’ right to hold and express their own beliefs, even if they differ from the majority.
Equality and Justice:
Advocating for fair and equal treatment for all, regardless of gender, race, religion, or other characteristics.
Altruism and Community:
Prioritizing the welfare of the community and working towards the common good.
Reverence for Life:
Recognizing the interconnectedness of all living things and promoting a sustainable and ethical relationship with the environment.
Self-Actualization and Personal Growth:
Supporting individuals’ ability to reach their full potential and pursue their own goals and aspirations.
Informed Consent:
Ensuring that individuals are fully informed and can make autonomous decisions about their own health and well-being.
Human Rights:
Advocating for and protecting universal human rights, including freedom from slavery, the right to learn, and the right to humane treatment.
Ethical Considerations in Various Contexts:
Medical Ethics:
Prioritizing patient autonomy, informed consent, and the well-being of the patient over the interests of the medical provider or institution.
Business Ethics:
Acting with integrity and transparency, prioritizing the interests of stakeholders, and avoiding actions that could harm individuals or the environment.
Social Justice:
Advocating for policies and practices that promote equality and reduce disparities in access to opportunities and resources.
Environmental Ethics:
Recognizing the interconnectedness of all living things and working towards a more sustainable and equitable relationship with the natural world.
Simply put, education that is religion-free is not value-free. Far from it.
If the above ethic is deemed to be insufficient by Christians Nationalists (the current group raising all the cane), then let them go beyond the basics theough their Christian Education programs in local churches, or let them establish and fund their Christian schools.
