We’ve all seen it by now—and the outrage is everywhere. But, I ask, why? His followers have long ago anointed him the next Messiah. All the yucky stuff he has done, (cheating on every wife, grabbing women by the pu**y whenever he feels like it, enriching himself and his family at the public trough, lying about every possible single thing, appointing the most unqualified sucking-up-cabinet ever, etc, starting wars without congressional approval, actively seeking and enjoying support from the white supremacist movement, ripping funds set aside to help the least of these) has been totally whitewashed because his followers were 100% convinced that God both chose and anointed him as the President of the US.
So, why the upset that he publicly acknowledged (and then took down after so much criticism) the adulation that he has received since he entered the realm of public “service,” i.e., systematic rape of the public purse?
C’mon, folks, especially those of the now “outraged” Evangelical world, you are getting exactly what you wanted: a man with an ego so unrestrained that he sees no problem with depicting himself as the Savior of the world.
Even though his values are 100% opposed to true biblical values, a giant part of the so-called “Christian” world has steadfastly supported him and his agenda, which is to despise the widow, the orphan, and the foreigner and to oppress them in any way possible.
Again, folks, you got what you wanted. A man who governs without restraint, moral, ethical, or legal, and who believes he, himself, is God and can therefore do no wrong.
Best of luck to you—and may the rest of us follow the example of the people of Hungary and show up at the ballot box and vote out all those who have enabled this utter travesty of all historic US values.
Let up on the outrage—and own it: you’ve been totally duped by this con man.
