Social media such as United Methodist Insight is making it possible for more people to participate in discussions leading to decisions about the denomination's future.United Methodist Insight readers, you're coming through to keep this online forum going.
After its first week of fundraising, UM Insight has received donations sufficient to cover its operating expenses for one more month. This means that we have some breathing space while we actively seek larger and more permanent funding.
Donors are showing through their gifts how much you value the alternative views of The United Methodist Church presented through United Methodist Insight. Both contributors and readers have made it plain that UM Insight offers a needed service in finding, focusing and amplifying the outside-the-structure visions important to discerning God's will for the future of the UMC.
We've added a "Donate" button on the website's home page, and will add it to other pages shortly. This special PayPal fund is administered by our sponsoring congregation, St. Stephen United Methodist Church of Mesquite, TX, and conforms to the financial policies and procedures recommended by the General Council on Finance and Administration, including an annual audit. Donors can be assured that their gifts will be handled with careful, discreet attention that preserves their privacy and security.
Thanks to your first round of donations, we're even more motivated to give as many people as possible the opportunity to discover and direct the UMC's future path as God wants it to be. Now's the time to increase our "margin for mission." Please give today as generously as you are able. Thank you.
