It would have been more honest for Bishop Jones to have made his move to the Global Methodist Church as soon as he determined to do so, instead of remaining an active bishop in the United Methodist Church with episcopal authority and receiving compensation from the UMC until January 9, 2023.

It is a matter of record that this bishop has courageously led the members of his pastoral charges, the members of his episcopal appointments and the members of our UMC to serve Christ faithfully. God has blessed his lifelong ministry. Now may one and all prayerfully encourage and support his ministry as he follows the leadership of God's Holy Spirit.
