The Rev. Morgan Guyton, co-director of the NOLA Wesley Foundation, the United Methodist campus ministry to Tulane and Loyola universities, sent the following email this week to the ministry supporters:
"We are in the thick of Mardi Gras season. There are multiple parades every day from now through next Tuesday (Feb. 13). One really cool opportunity we've had this year is to co-sponsor an alcohol-free Mardi Gras option with the Tulane After Dark program. We chartered a bus to transport 28 students to the Chewbacchus parade on Saturday.
"We will have another crew of students heading to the Endymion parade this Saturday. There are a lot of students who want to enjoy the festivities without getting sucked into the toxic drug and alcohol culture. Your support is helping to provide that space for them this Mardi Gras."
