Perkins School of Theology professors Ted A. Campbell and Rebekah Miles will be installed as chairs at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, in Perkins Chapel.
Randy Maddox, William Kellon Quick Professor Emeritus of Wesleyan and Methodist Studies at Duke Divinity School, will introduce the honorees and talk about Albert Outler and Susanna Wesley.
Dr. Campbell, the Albert C. Outler Professor of Wesley Studies at Perkins, will deliver a lecture titled "A Day in the Life of John Wesley" at 2:30 p.m. Dr. Miles, the Susanna Wesley Centennial Professor of Practical Theology and Ethics, will give with a lecture titled "Holy Dying, Covid and Other Problems"at 3:15 p.m. The lecture portion of the program may also be viewed via livestream at https://youtu.be/QGsG6-bvLIs.
The formal installation ceremony will take place at 4 p.m., followed by a reception in the Blue Room of Bridwell Library.
