3rd Day of Prayer
NASHVILLE, Tenn.––United Methodist Men have published a book of prayers for peace with justice and they will host their third day of Prayer, Saturday, July 25. The event will be live-streamed on www.NationalDayofPrayerUMM.org
Sponsored by the Southeastern Jurisdiction of UM Men, the three-hour event will be hosted by Andrew Kissell, president of the jurisdictional organization, and Hank Dozier, immediate past president.
People scheduled to offer meditations and prayers during the 1-4 p.m. (EDT) virtual event include Bishops James Swanson, Ken Carter, Leonard Fairley, Gary Mueller, and Sharma Lewis.
Other scheduled speakers include:
- Gil Hanke, top staff executive of the General Commission on UM Men;
- Wallace Neal, national prayer advocate;
- The Rev. Dr. Cedrick Bridgeforth, pastor of Grace UMC in Los Angeles;
- Jarvis Wilson, minister of music for West Hunter Street Baptist Church in Atlanta; and
- Odell Horne, president of North Georgia Conference UM Men.
