The Wesleyan Covenant Association has postponed its Fifth Global Gathering from October of this year to May 2021, according to an announcement this week from WCA president Keith Boyette.
Rev. Boyette said in an email:
"Our original host site, Frazer Church, in Montgomery, Alabama, has graciously agreed to host our rescheduled Fifth Global Gathering on Saturday, May 1, 2021. Furthermore, our entire line-up of great speakers – Bryan Collier, Eric Huffman, Krystl Johnson, Bishop Eduard Khegay, Carolyn Moore, Jonathan Razon, and Tim Tennent – will all be able to join us on that date!
"We have also rescheduled our Third Global Legislative Assembly for Friday, April 30, 2021, at Frazer Church in Montgomery, Alabama. We will update our delegates regarding our assembly as the rescheduled date draws near.
"Our original theme for the Fifth Global Gathering – Go Global! – will be as important as ever when we meet next year at Frazer Church and at approximately 100 simulcast sites. On that day – God willing – may thousands of us will join together to rededicate ourselves to the Great Commission!"
Rev. Boyette encouraged readers to pray for those infected with COVID-19, for those who've lost loved ones to the coronavirus, and for the millions worldwide who have experienced "devastating economic consequences" because of the pandemic.
