Emphasize Christian living and not salvation

Possibly, many people leaving the church are turned off by the self-professed, potentially, narcissistic idea of personal salvation. That is just what it says, personal, and of no one's business other than the individual. Living a Christian life, as professed in Jesus Parables, on the other hand benefits society, and not just the individual. And, if there is a reward it is to the individual, and not publicly acclaimed.

I'm disillusioned with organized religion

I don't know if that fits in the SBNR category.

I'm more 'Religious Independent'. I don't have a church right now, and I'm not sure I want one. The UMC fiasco has really turned me off of organized religion right now. I'm admittedly a little bitter about it all.
