Conferencing, Reationships and Unity

Good article! Remember, the Nazarenes have basic unanimity on believing the virgin birth and bodily resurrection of Jesus actually happened, salvation is by the blood (atonement) of Jesus, that marriage is understood uniformly in traditional Christian terms and that working definitions of the inspiration of scripture and the reality of “Heaven and Hell” would align with some United Methodists but not others. In short, their agreement on what is essential and their shared affirmation of the truth of those essentials do wonders to kindle trust, fellowship and healthy debate (usually...not always) about disagreements. Where there is core level trust in such matters, more is entrusted to the regions who affirm the essentials and less requires decision by bureaucratic convention action.
