Evil

“We are seeking to focus more closely on the values that are important to United Methodists — traditional, contextual and progressive,”

So, then, The Way Forward Commission admits that many to most of the UMC considers exclusion and scapegoating of innocent LGBT others a 'value' of the UMC? This is pure evil, folks.

I reject both proposals. At 57 years of age, after a virtual lifetime of rejection and scapegoating by the UMC, I REFUSE to be a member of any church that denies me basic human rights and privileges. If ANY portion of the UMC continues to deny me said rights, I REFUSE membership in any portion of it.

How dare you equate me with murderers and rapists? "Get behind me, Satan!"

Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove "When Jesus said, 'I have come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly' in John 10:10, he wasn’t thinking about a victory for those who have used religion to fight back against the gains of the civil rights movement. Jesus was inviting all of us to work together for the vision at the heart of that movement — a beloved community where all people created in God’s image can thrive."
