Finding “justice” is not the goal of a GC delegate

It should be searching for and discerning Truth. Fortunately for all of us, God has given us the Truth in the form of the Bible. God’s Word is very clear: marriage is only between a man and a woman and homosexuality is an abomination before God. Our leaders must not only teach these and other Words of God, they must live in accordance with them. Thus, the only plan which will be pleasing to God is the Traditional Plan.

Baptismal Covenant

"Finding “justice” is not the goal of a GC delegate"
Last time I checked our baptismal covenant still included "Do you accept the freedom and power God gives you to resist, evil, injustice and oppression...?" We got segregated central conferences in 1939 because delegates forgot about justice. I sincerely pray that justice is a goal of our delegates. If you want them to look for truth in scripture, they might start with Micah 6:8

I disagree

Justice is based on truth but justice is subject to bias. So, Christians should seek to find truth (God’s Word) and shed the biases of “justice such as the secular evil of”social justice” as expressed by ptogressives.

Abomination

Eating bacon is also an abomination. Please read Hebrews 8 . Blessings.D.

Yes but Christ delivered us from that law

See Mark 7, Acts 10 and Galatians 3. Besides there is always turkey bacon.

Notable Quotes

"Fundamentalist Christians have moved the theological needle so far to the right that the Gospel is said by them to be a 'progressive agenda.' It's not – it's the Gospel. We must keep preaching Jesus' message of the Kingdom of God (over against the kingdoms of this world) rooted in love (not legalism) and aimed toward reconciliation (not division). The Pharisees alleged Jesus' message was a 'liberal agenda.' It wasn't – it was the Gospel."

– The Rev. Dr. Steve Harper in a Facebook post.
