“There are ways we can work together even if we have different positions on homosexuality,” she said. “Our local churches are working with people who have different positions on human sexuality, and they are still feeding people and clothing people and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.”

Baloney.

Anti-LGBT legislation leads to violence and then death of LGBT members. There can be no peace, no 'working together', with individuals who would, frankly, rather see LGBT people dead.

The LGBT community is fighting for its very life. We will not compromise.

I REFUSE to have anything at all to do with a denomination that in any way, shape, or form invalidates or demonizes the LGBT population.

Notable Quotes

"So much of American Christianity is tightly wrapped up with control, nationalism, xenophobia, and racism that folks are walking away .... So conservatives hunker down and shut out questions and despise doubt. What is actually needed are faith communities that provide safe space for questions and doubt, that recognize them as an important part of growth, that show love no matter what."
