What would Dr. Hinson think?

I have to wonder what Dr. Hinson would think of your current position? Regardless, I am praying your assessment of the majority of the laity’s position on the Modified Traditional Plan is incorrect. If you are right and I am wrong and the One Church or anything goes plan prevails, then I will resign my membership as I suspect Dr. Hinson would from what I have heard and read about hm from those who knew him well. If the worst happens and nothing happens, I will resign over the criminal negligence of Church leadership for the expensive sham they will have perpetrated on the UMC laity. I can find a church which places priority on Scripture — it might even be my own UMC — but not as a member of the UMC denomination.

Notable Quotes

"We need to be gentle with ourselves and give ourselves permission to grieve continued injustice and denominational harm. Lent is maybe the best time of the liturgical year to pause and sit with whatever we are feeling or not feeling right now, especially before we make big decisions. It brings to mind what the disciples might have gone through in those days between Good Friday and Easter Sunday, when maybe they could affirm there would be more to the story but did not yet know what new life was going to come forth."
