Vote Down the United Methodist Church Split

I am a member of the Centerville United Methodist Church, Centerville, VA. I was stunned on Friday 1/3/2020 when the news announced that the Methodist Church was going to split even though the General Conference will not vote on a resolution until May 2020. Please respond to the following questions:
1. How did the minority GAY community hijack our church?
2. What will become of our church building?
3. My wife and I are withholding substantial donations to the Church until we know whether we have a church, or not, and what kind of church it will be. Is there a fund to which we can donate that will support a Centerville United Methodist Church that we know will uphold The Book of Discipline of the United Methodist Church as it stands today, and the Holy Bible?
4. How can we start a resistance movement to convince the General Conference to vote down the "Protocol of Reconciliation & Grace Through Separation"?

“For people who are progressive-minded Christians, our Christianity is not something that is just adjacent to everything else — it’s not just sprinkled on top. It’s something that is very deeply held and compels us in this moment.”

– The Rev. Nadia Bolz-Weber, on why she and other first-time endorsers are backing Joe Biden for president.

"... Sometimes the gospel confronts us with values that are counter to a white supremacist, nationalist, militaristic, xenophobic, homophobic, misogynistic, anti-environmental, or ableist agenda. Even without mentioning a specific president, a sermon that preaches the values of welcoming the immigrant, obeying the commandment not to murder, lifting up 'the least of these,' or valuing black lives can be mistakenly perceived as promoting a 'liberal agenda.'"
